Prof. Ivanka Dimova, M.D.
Professor Ivanka Dimova has played a pivotal role in the development of Gentique supplements and is the author of more than 120 publications in international journals, receiving over 1,400 citations. Her areas of expertise include oncogenetics, angiogenesis, genomic medicine, reproductive genetics, and epigenetics.
Professor Dimova graduated in Medicine from the Medical University of Sofia in 1997 and earned a specialty in Medical Genetics in 2004. She joined the university’s Department of Medical Genetics in 2001, progressing through the ranks to Professor. Since 2015, she has also served as Head of the Laboratory of Genomic Diagnostics at the Center of Molecular Medicine.
In addition to her long-standing tenure at the Medical University of Sofia, Professor Dimova has completed specializations at numerous international universities, including Université I Montpellier, France, the University of Cambridge, UK, the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and the University of Bern, Switzerland.
Professor Dimova currently serves as the President of the Bulgarian Association for Reproductive Health and has served as the Principal Investigator of two international projects funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, as well as multiple national projects in Bulgaria.
